【ストーリー / Story】
海の底、岩陰をのんびりとお散歩するように泳ぐサメを、ちいさくちいさく作りました。
優雅に泳いでいる様子を表現するため、サメが海中に浮かんでいるような造形になっています。
I created a tiny shark swimming leisurely along the ocean floor, as if taking a quiet stroll among the rocks.
To capture its graceful movement, the shark is sculpted as though it is floating gently in the water.

砂地に生息するサメではこの表現が難しいため、岩場にも生息するシロワニをモデルに制作しました。
Since it would be difficult to create this floating scene with a shark that lives mainly on sandy seafloors, I chose the sand tiger shark, which can also be found around rocky areas, as the model.

前後の面は岩肌のようなテクスチャ、側面は水を連想させる鏡面仕上げにしています。
岩と水、それぞれの質感のコントラストも楽しんでいただけます。
The front and back surfaces have a texture reminiscent of rock, while the sides are polished to a mirror-like finish, evoking the surface of water.
The contrast between the two textures is another detail to enjoy.

サメといえば、凶暴で怖いというイメージがありますが、その面構えとは相反して、おとなしく温厚な性格のシロワニさん。
海の中をのんびりお散歩する、かわいいお魚さんという一面が伝われば幸いです。
Sharks are often seen as fierce and frightening creatures, but despite its intimidating appearance, the sand tiger shark is known for its relatively calm and gentle nature.
I hope this little piece conveys another side of the shark—a gentle creature simply taking a leisurely stroll through the sea.
